Pierre Mosnier, conductor
Pierre Mosnier was assistant conductor for “Pelléas et Mélisande” at the 2024 Aix-en-Provence Festival to Susanna Mälkki and previously for the same opera in March 2023 with the Orchestre National de France in Paris. He is encouraged in the lyric repertoire by Philippe Jordan during the production of Hector Berlioz’s “Les Troyens” at the Paris Opera and is worked from 2012 to 2023 as assistant conductor to Cristian Măcelaru and the Orchestre National de France.
Spotted early on by Georges Prêtre, the latter mentored Pierre Mosnier in the French repertoire, with a particular focus on Claude Debussy and Francis Poulenc.
